The Iraq Study Group QFS'ing since 2006

Recently the Iraq Study Group came out with a 160 page report detailing 79 different recommendations for how to adjust American strategy. We here at the Stain Club haven't exactly read this report...but we do know what it stands for. Quitting For Strength. Basically, the report says that we're having a lot of trouble in Iraq. We didn't really go in with enough strength... in this case militarily then when we started to talk to Iraq about stuff like Democracy... well Iraq wasn't feeling that. So what did we do... we hung around and kept trying and trying to get Iraq interested. Wasn't working. 3 years later we're still there and things aren't exactly looking up. So the Iraq Study Group comes along like a good friend and says that maybe its time to cut our losses. They can see that our strength is fading and that its time for quitting. Is this proof that the Quit For Strength Doctrine will be a centerpiece of American foreign policy? Hard to say... but we here at the Stain Club certainly think it should be.
