Zito-Tastic

So, a little more on Zito, one of the luckiest pitchers of last season, and certainly the luckiest of this offseason. Zito should be clocking over 500,000 dollar per start next year for San Fran, and this takes a whole lot of pressure off of young gun Matt Cain (and I wouldn’t be surprised if he pitched better than Zito, as this kid has number one stuff). Given the transition to an even friendlier pitcher park and the NL, I would expect Zito to have as good and likely better a year (although not one worth what he’s being paid). However, given what Zito was demanding last spring, the Giants may have got him cheap.
