Please stop continuing to kill my childhood for money

A while back our very own Plumpy’s Ghost (the blogger formerly known as Watercooler Warrior), wrote a section on stainy corporations destroying childhood classics for monetary gain. Well I would like to supplement that by bitching about the new DirecTV commercial that uses Back to the Future footage to pedal their shoddy services. First of all, let me just say I have had DirecTV before and it IS shoddy, secondly, the fact that they are defacing one of the greatest movies of all time doesn’t make me want to buy DirecTV, it just makes me angry. And for you Christopher Lloyd, hows this work bro, are you not making enough money from the Back to the Future royalties that you have to maim one of my childhood favorites so you can put in a new swimming pool? I feel that getting this commercial pulled from the air would be a worthwhile crusade right up there with ending world poverty and disease. So DirecTV, thanks for staining out my childhood today.
