Being Right Sucks Sometimes

Go read this article about how the foolish cheerleaders of this war have, in many cases, moved up in the world of journalism as a result of their lies (or complicity in allowing lies to be disseminated), while those rare lonely voices of dissent have generally remained where they were or moved down.

It's kind of like giving starting positions and bigger contracts to players who talk the biggest game, rather than those who actually produce. It's a sad state of affairs. Not only that, but many of the big talkers seem to get testy when you call them on failing to produce, in essence saying, "Look, there was no way to tell at the time that I wasn't going to hit 217 home runs this season. Besides, since we're still campaigning to get this season to last forever and ever, how do you know I won't?"
