Bugs and Cranks posted an interesting chronicle of the journey he took creating himself as a pitching prospect for The Show. I recall D. Page doing the same sort of thing when we resided in the same dorm room one spring semester that seems so long ago, although he did name his pitcher after the supposedly then-recently deceased 24 star, Tony Almeida.
I myself never took a liking to The Show as I have years of experience with both NCAA Football and Madden. The fact that you can now be a college prospect and transfer that player to the NFL is nothing short of dream as, yes, I wish I was big and athletic enough to be a tight end or middle linebacker. I do enjoy the finer aspects of the game as you can determine whether you want to be an unselfish leader who prides himself on putting the team first or a loud-mouth ass-face who exceeds expectations for his own personal glory.
B&C does make an interesing argument towards the end of his entry concerning the nature of sports and how there honestly is pressure to figure out what a player wants: to win or to be loyal. Sometimes these things can coincide, and other times, not so much.
