At Least Be Honest With Us
I know they want us to support the war and support the troops and fight terror and all that, but it does absolutely no good for the military to misreport the manner in which soldiers die. I would like to think that every single one of the more than 3,000 American troops who have died in Iraq all went out in a heroic manner, but supporting the troops should, at the very least, mean dealing with their sacrifices in an honest and open manner. Yet there was the awful saga of Pat Tillman and now this. You can't really help but get angry at the arrogance and audacity of the people who think we need the truth altered to elicit our support for the troops.
