Can a politician be a good person?

Perhaps I'm simply grasping at straws because everything I've witnessed since becoming politically aware has been cynical and hypocritical and generally awful, but check out this quote by Obama's wife. Maybe you believe her and maybe you don't, but dignity, honor, authenticity, and truth are four things we need desperately these days, and if Obama is sincere in his desire to restore them then there's really no limit to how many disaffected voters he could win over.
