Amidst all the exciting political debate taking place here, let's not forget that baseball is upon us soon. Ryan Howard is on the cover of ESPN's MLB Preview Issue, so that's exciting. Also, check out five questions the Phillies have entering this season over at the Hardball Times. Over at A Citizen's Blog the question arises as to how ready the Phillies are entering the season after a rough spring training. In the positive, Brett Myers looked good in his final spring training game despite some scary moments at the plate, and some people have faith in the Phillies performance this year. Also, it will be interesting to see if Dobbs, Bourn, and Coste all make it up to the bigs to start the season, especially given the questionable status of Garcia and Lieber, either of whom could land on the DL. However, here's one guy that definitiely won't be making the team anytime soon.
Myself, Snacksy the Kid, and S.Q. Hagglepuss will all be at the second Phillies game of the year next Wednesday checking out that crazy Cole Hamels, and a detailed report will likely follow. Also, I hope to get out the final three Phils vs. Opponents before opening day on Monday, with Colorado coming either later today or tomorrow. Baseball, kids. Get hype.
