Modern Day Muckraking

If there was ever a time to bring back muckraking, the time is now. The Bush Administration continues to top itself more and more with ridiculous matters. The Walter Reed Hospital debacle adds another reason why not to send more troops to Iraq. This government continues to make a mockery of itself by insisting on sending more troops over to secure a place that has been plunged into civil strife and chaos. To abandon this place would only embolden the terrorists. And now, bureaucratic bull-shit gets in the way of a dilapidated hospital that can’t even care for the soldiers that willingly accepted the responsibility of combat.

In addition to the Walter Reed situation is this news of this administration funneling money to jihadist terrorists who are ASSOCIATED with al-Qaeda, the same group linked to the 9/11 attacks. I am speechless after such a revelation. There are no words for such a corrupt action from a government that is supposed to be an example to the rest of the world. These dire matters need to be rectified and the New York Times submitted its list of where to start.

Will these issues be resolved, or even touched upon, in the near future? Probably not until that Bu$hleaguer in the White House gets the boot. Until then, I will keep my faith that at some point, this government will receive a wake-up call and get jolted on the right track again.
