This man was a hero before he ever fired a shot, just for his clear patriotism and sense of self sacrifice, and look at what the government did with it. For anyone callous enough to think of it in those terms, Pat Tillman was a PR dream, and yet when he paid the ultimate sacrifice their immediate response was to lie. As if dying wasn't sacrifice enough, they had to modify the details of the tragedy to fit their own jingoist purposes. It's disgusting, and I'm glad that his brother feels like this, and that he strongly tells the despicable perpetrators of this falsehood his exact opinion.
Worse yet, if we can't trust their accounts of Tillman's death, what can we really know about those who turned down contracts with Wal-Mart and McDonald's rather than the Arizona Cardinals?
