PTSD

A girl in my poetry class read a poem tonight about post traumatic stress disorder, and although in her poem it wasn't the result of a war experience it got me thinking about how many soldiers will experience it, and how supporting the troops is going to take decades, because that's how long it will take the mental wounds to fade, if they ever do.
