Iraq in Color, or Colorful Ways to Think of the Tragedy

Let's do a tally of the fun ways to view the war in Iraq. Atrios brings us the war as an endless "search for a pony," with great pictures for effect. Then there's the timeless "Military Calvinball." Another helpful way to think of the occupation is that it's essentially Tinkerbell; clap louder if you believe, maybe somehow magic will happen. I just saw Tony Snow say that Iraq is not Oz; we can't expect it to be black and white one day and then full technicolor the next.

Look at how exciting all of this is. All we have to do is play Calvinball with the Cowardly Lion while Toto sniffs out a buried pony and Dorothy claps and yells that she does believe in fairies. If Toto got some of his dog buddies together and they all got busy then maybe we could give everyone a puppy. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain either.
