'Tis the Season

Regarding the whole gift giving thing, I'm looking to break even this Christmas. In the early days, you got your parents a mug or a scented candle or something and they loved it, and you were flooded with toys and candy and goodness. Now, it's all trying to figure out what your quasi-relatives would not feel motivated enough to return. And I'm not old and stately enough to just start dishing cash out to people, so that's not an option. On the bright side, I'll say that I don't think I'm in the negative with this whole presents thing yet. I'm not in the red, and that's good. Once I'm in the red, that's when I'll realize I'm old, and hopefully at that point I'll be able to start handing out checks.
