Carlos Mencia is a Stain

A lot of people probably know that Carlos Mencia's real name is Ned Holness, and he's not really Mexican, and that he steals jokes and passes them off as his own. Joe Rogan put together a pretty devastating video about this that can be found here.

I really hate Ned Holness, and I've wanted to post about him before, but I never got around to it until I heard that he stole one of his bits from my all-time favorite comedian, and fellow Philadelphian, Bill Cosby. Bill Cosby is one of those guys who's just funny by nature. I've seen him speak a couple of times because he went to my high school and comes back periodically to graduations, and it's truly amazing to watch him tell a story and make it funny just by his delivery and point of view. Ned Holness, on the other hand, is a talentless hack who makes a ton of money off of standard racist jokes and stolen material.

In the video below it's clear that Holness doesn't even tell the story as well as Cosby, which is just sort of sad. I mean, if you're going to steal material at least be sure to do justice to it. Watching this made me feel like I ought to try to get in touch with Bill Cosby and let him know. Holness gets away with this bullshit because people are hesitant to speak out against him when he steals their jokes, but imagine if a legend like Cosby came out in public and exposed him for the thief he is. I would love it, if only because it would mean I wouldn't have to see his painfully exaggerated expressions on commercials when I watch shows on Comedy Central that feature people who are actually funny, like Stewart and Colbert, or Reno 911 for that matter.
