Quick Stains: May 9th

The Phillies could probably lose every game by one run, and that would be fun, right? We'd have decent stats all year and would be the reincarnation of the 2006 Indians. Great stuff.

1. Nice to see Dobbs hit his first homer last year.

2. Eaton surprisingly pitched well last night, but that's not enough these days.

3. Pat Burrell hasn't done much since charging out of the gate this season, and the timing couldn't be worse with Howard sitting. Why didn't Manuel bench Howard earlier? There's a lot of questions one could ask of Charlie.

4. Interesting post about base stealing over at A Citizen's Blog.

5. If anyone is ever looking for very in-depth summaries of the games, I suggest checking out Philliesflow, where there is always a great post about the latest Philadelphia phailure.

6. Something a little lighter to enjoy.

Phils play at 6:40 tonight (that's East Coast time) and here's hoping we can avoid Arizona getting the broom out.
